Christmas Pageant 100 years — and we’re seeing stars!
Kelley Loughrey, Pageant Director To commemorate this significant anniversary for the church of our beloved pageant, we have created centennial star ornaments! These beautiful laser cut wooden stars are simple in their design, just like the pageant. This is a once in a lifetime chance to purchase your own Unity Church Christmas pageant star as a special keepsake. We want to celebrate this milestone with the entire Unity community. Not every midwestern church has a 100-year tradition so we think it’s pretty awesome that we do. On Sundays during December, after services in the Parish Hall, there will be a special tree, strung with our ornaments, that will be available for purchase for $10. The proceeds will be a gift to the church. This is the only December that you’ll be able to buy these, so don’t miss out!
Also new this year will be the opportunity to purchase centennial pageant t-shirts! Order by December 15 and you’ll have them in time for rehearsal on December 23. (Watch for an order form.)
We are still looking for pageant photos or programs from years past to be a part of our celebration collection. If you have such items, please contact Kelley at [email protected]or 763-607-7520.
Pageant participation registration is open through December 6 and the cast and children’s choir lists will be posted online the week of December 9. If you have questions about registration, please contact Kelley Loughrey, pageant director, at 763-607-7520 (call/text).
If you haven’t seen the pageant before and aren’t able to come on Christmas Eve, you are welcome to join us at our rehearsal on Monday, December 23, between 2:45 and 4:00 p.m. to see what the magic is all about!
